Hello, I’m Jacqueline- best known from Season 22 of The Bachelor. My background is in philosophy and psychology, and though I’m hopelessly single and by no means an expert, I do spend a lot of time musing and reading about love and relationships. What I want more than anything is a conversation- this blog is me throwing ideas at the wall to see if they stick, and you all can help me refine and develop new theories. Oh, and why “Game Theories”? Because the beginning of dating so often feels like you’re holding your breath and pushing little pieces of yourself across a table, to see how they fare. Because we so often feel “played.” And because love is the most mysterious, infuriating, rapturous experience in the world- and I’m on a search for the patterns that guide it.

A little about me: I’m from small town West Virginia, but I live in New York City. I currently work as a research coordinator studying personality disorders, and I want to get a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I like literature, travel, absinthe, art, theatre, ancient history and philosophy, and also Bud Lite Lime, boating, twirling my hair, watching trash TV, being on trash TV, and 80s music. I sort of speak Slovak and I like cats. I am a very bad dancer, I’m afraid of the ocean, and I’m almost always lost. For some reason, most of the literary and historical female figures I admire were courtesans. I think that about sums me up.
